The Algarve
The Algarve is renowned throughout Europe for its enviable climate that boasts 300 days of sunshine per annum. It is also famous for its beaches, many of which offer soft sand, ample facilities and a vibrant atmosphere. Others are secluded and have caves, rock pools and beautiful scenery.
There are many beautiful towns and fishing villages within driving distance of the villa that are worth visiting during your stay. Praia da Coelha sits in an area called Sesmarias and sits between the larger beaches of Gale and Sao Rafael. Sao Rafael is consistently awarded one of Europe's best beaches.
The peace and quiet of the beach at Praia da Coelha contrasts with the hustle and bustle of Albufeira which lies 3 miles to the east. There are some nice clifftop walks from the beach to the other beaches along the coastline, Salgados, Castelo, Sao Rafael and Gale.
They say that location is everything and some of the best restaurants on the Algarve are either a short drive away or walking distance. The Algarve's only 2* Michelin restaurant Vila Joya is very close for a special occasion.
