Days Out
Marina
5 minutes drive from the villa is the new marina in Albufeira which hopes to give the larger Villamoura marina a run for its money as restaurants open and more boats dock there. If you are feeling energetic it's a good walk with several bars and restaurants on the way. Its a good place to wear out the kids, with dedicated areas for ride on cars and bikes, bowling, arcade games and trampolining. And here you can book and board a number of boating day trips from dolphin watching to cave trips.
Family Days out
Zoomarine is close by and a great day out for families. It has dolphin and bird of prey displays and also boasts sealions and turtles and a great funfair. Slide and Splash is a great day out for water lovers. The water park is vast and always a lot of fun. if you are feeling more energetic Almancil has a great go-karting circuit.
Vineyards
Cliff Richards has his home and vineyard close by and opens it for tours to taste his wine and see how its made, he also eats in the local restaurants so listen out for him, we're all going on a . . . . . . . . . etc etc.. We make sure none of his music is left on the iPod we leave for our guests.
Shopping
Apolonia - The nearest big supermarket which is a 5 minute car ride down towards Gale. This is like the Waitrose of supermarkets here, with fresh meat, fish and bread counters, fresh Sushi, and a great fruit and veg selection. It also stocks all the British brands too. You can walk it and there are usually taxi's waiting outside or available to order when there.
Hapimag - A 10 minute walk up to the local shop in our neighbouring resort ( veer off to the right on route to the beach). It has all the basics here. Cold meats and cheeses, fruit and veg and a good range of dry foods. It also sells Nespresso capsules for the machine and English papers.
Algarve Shopping - A 15 minute drive takes you to a large outdoor shopping centre. With a very large and good value supermarket, Continente. It also has shops like Zara, Massimo Dutti and a host of others if you forgot your swimmers. And everything you'd expect from a shopping centre. Including a Cinema.
